Anyone can give you a list of qualifications, but what does a list really tell about the person?  Indulge me for a moment and I will tell you why I am uniquely qualified to be your small business specialist.

As an office manager, I ran the daily operations of a growing mail order business for twelve years.  Like you, I trained employees in a variety of tasks, from sales and accounting to purchasing  and shipping.  I've dealt with efficiency challenges, employee dilemmas, and many of the issues a small business owner faces.  This experience enables me to be more than just a bookkeeper - I am your chief collaborator, confidant, and colleague.

Looking for a new challenge, in mid-2006 I entered the wonderful world of taxes. After some intense studying, I passed 12-hours of exams to become an Enrolled Agent in 2007.  (Click on the "What's an EA'' tab for more info.)  The next few years were spent learning about tax laws, managing an EA firm, and becoming partner.

A whirlwind of events in 2012 brought me to the San Antonio area from Southern California. Working for a mid-sized CPA firm provided tremendous opportunities to fine tune my tax knowledge and improve my bookkeeping skills.
